Sea&Sea housing MDX-R5 (#06198)
State-of-the-art body for the full-frame mirrorless Canon EOS R5 camera. Compact, compatible with the YS optical converter and ergonomically designed.
The new MDX R5 is the perfect complement to Canon's new mirrorless R5 camera. The MDX-R5 is feature-rich and all controls are ergonomically designed to maximise camera control. All key camera functions can be accessed through the handles using thumb or finger movements without releasing your grip.
Sea & Sea optical converter and Sea & Sea manual flash activation compatibility, port locking system plus lens removal and attachment while camera is still in body. Compatible with both native RF lenses and all EF lenses (with mount). In addition, a 24mm port is included for HDMI 2 cables to connect to an external video monitor to realise the full potential of the camera's ultra-high resolution capabilities. A built-in leak sensor and a bulkhead for external vacuum sensor provide double protection and greater peace of mind for your camera equipment while diving.

All important camera function controls can be easily operated without releasing your grip on the handle, providing stability and security in all shooting situations
The camera is compatible with all ports in the DX (NX) series and can be easily removed from the housing, even when a large-diameter lens is fitted, making it easy to replace the lens and battery.
Leak Sentinel, which measures the atmospheric pressure inside the housing, even on land, is now offered as a standard accessory model. Together with the conventional built-in leak sensor, the housing offers two warning systems for complete peace of mind and protection of your camera. An optional 16 mm thread is also available, allowing third-party vacuum sensors to be mounted.
The gate lock prevents the gate from turning or becoming loose, and the gate lock lever is specifically positioned to prevent accidental release.
Compatible with S&S Optical YS Converter R which converts the camera's strobe light signal to LED light and synchronises it with Sea & Sea YS strobes.
Also compatible with the Sea & Sea Manual Flash Trigger.
MDX-R5 Other Features
- The Port Lock prevents the port from turning or loosening and
the Port Lock lever is specifically located to avoid being unlocked
accidentally.
- The housing is equipped with a lens-lock release button which
makes it possible to change lenses easily, without opening the housing.
- Pulling out the Focus/Zoom Dial gives sufficient room inside the housing to easily accommodate larger diameter lenses.
- All controls have luminescence stickers which glow in dark environment.
- Equipped with the Optical Viewfinder 0.5x as standard. Other
optional viewfinders such as Optical Viewfinder 0.66x,and 0.8x can be
used.
- Some vignetting occurs when the VF45 and VF180 1.2x is mounted
on housing, the corners of the camera's viewfinder cannot be viewed due
to vignetting.
- Sync Cord 2-pin Connector enables use of conventional hardwired Sync cable (Manual mode only).
- Equipped with two sacrificial zinc diodes (one on the front case and the other on the rear) to prevent electrolysis damage.
- Built-in leak sensor immediately alerts alerts you to water ingress.
- Tripod screw mount is located on the center underside of the housing.
- Equipped with under guard to protect from scratch.

Warranty
Sea&Sea provides a limited warranty to
the original purchaser against all defects in original workmanship and
material under normal SCUBA use and service as outlined in the owner's
manual for 1 year from the date of purchase, with the following exceptions:

Should your equipment prove to be
defective for any reason (other than those listed in the limitations
section below) it will be repaired or replaced at Sea&Sea´s discretion, free of charge, excluding shipping and
handling charges.

Repairs made under this warranty will not extend the warranty period

This warranty is non-transferable and applies to the original purchaser only.

All correspondence concerning this warranty must be accompanied by a copy of the original sales receipt.

Any flood or damage, for any reason,
that is caused from flooding an O-ring sealed or water tight area will
not be covered under warranty. All O-ring sealed products undergo
extensive factory pressure testing before being shipped and delivered
and are therefore guaranteed to be sealed and functioning when shipped
from the factory.

Sea&Sea nor ADITECH will not be liable for any
loss, damages, or expenses including incidental or consequential damages
directly or indirectly arising from the sale or use of the product.

Sea&Sea accepts no liability for any loss of captured images or the
inability to capture images even if it is due to the malfunctioning or
leakage of the housing.

All paint finishing, cosmetic
discoloration of surfaces, powder coating, or material stitching that is
chipped, damaged, or unthreaded through customer use is not covered in
the warranty.

Sea&Sea does not warranty any product
for aesthetic finishes. Issues with surface finish that do not affect
function of the product are not covered under warranty.

This warranty does not apply and may
be rendered completely void in the event of accidental damage, abuse, batteries´ electrolyte spillage,
overcharging of battery, flooding due to neglect, tampering, lack of
care and maintenance, improper storage, or unauthorized service.

This warranty specifically excludes lenses, cords, connectors, O-rings, or other conditions
resulting from misuse and negligence.

This warranty becomes void if the housing components are damaged by anything other than normal recreational diving use.

Modifications or repair by anyone other than an
authorized Sea&Sea Dealer or ADITECH Service Department will void
the warranty.

By purchasing this product you agree
and understand that in no event will Sea&Sea, its distributors or
retailers, be held liable for any personal injuries resulting from its
operation, or any other damage whether direct, indirect, incidental or
consequential, even if Sea&Sea or ADITECH is advised of such damages.
