The 150mm/6" swap ring purpose is to create less drag coefficient, mostly used for surfing photography.
The swap ring is manufactured in aluminium and black anodized.
You mast pay attention to use proper size tool to remove screws (allen key provided
in the set) and align the ring with the rest of a dome port via small
guiding rail which will correspond to the sticking out bit on spherical
part.
