Overview & Features

The AOI UWL-09 is the finest wet wide angle conversion lens available. Built from quality materials and featuring the most impressive optic specifications, the UWL-09 delivers stunning results that have no competition.

The lens mounts on the housing lens port and can be installed and removed during the course of the dive. It can be mounted on 67mm threaded lens ports and other dimensions by using an adaptor.

High Optical Performance

UWL-09 offers unmatched quality with 5 multi-layered precision optic elements (organized in 5 groups). Images captured with the lens are exceptionally detailed and feature impressive overall sharpness. The combination of a super wide field of view (130 degrees) and zero minimal focus distance provide unlimited opportunities for image framing and creative compositions, including close focus wide angle and over-under (half/half) split images. Professionally engineered elements eliminate chromatic aberration. The AR (anti-reflection) coating on all glass elements assists in avoiding lens flare from the sun or artificial light sources.

Durable Construction

Lens barrel is made from durable Aluminum alloy with black hard coating. The dome is covered with hard coating as well, protecting it from easily getting scratched or damaged. During development, the lens was thoroughly tested in extreme conditions (depth, temperature, salinity and radiation) to ensure resistance and durability on the long run.

Rotatable Wings

Lens wings feature an improved design and can be rotated anytime underwater according to image composition without using any tools. Vertical and horizontal images can be easily captured without having the sun or strobes reflecting on the dome and interfering with crystal clear images.

Universal Compatibility

The lens features a 67mm thread mount, compatible with most housings available in the market today. Perfect to be used with compact, mirrorless or SLR housings. Two different adaptors are included with the lens, to ensure the best fit with all type of housings, sparing the need to solve ahead any compatibility issues or source additional adaptors separately. The base of the mount is covered with a rubber ring, providing a firm grip of the lens during installation and removal. Its narrow design allows using the lens with most lens holders, adaptors, bayonet mount converters, flip mounts and quick release adaptors.

Accessory Package

Lens comes with a secure loop installation kit and quick release secure line to ensure the lens is safely secured to the system even when removed from the housing lens port. Non corrosive front and rear lens caps are included in the box. A quality padded carrying case allows safe storage and transportation.

Warranty & Best Service

The lens includes warranty against defective materials and workmanship under reasonable use for a period of 1 year. If damaged, the dome of the lens can be replaced with a new one for a discounted price during the 1-year warranty period. In addition, Fantasea offers a professional and responsive service program.

Warranty

Fantasea provides a limited warranty to the original purchaser against all defects in original workmanship and material under normal SCUBA use and service as outlined in the owner's manual for 1 year from the date of purchase, with the following exceptions and conditions:

This warranty does not cover commercial or rental use.
Should your housing prove to be defective for any reason (other than those listed in the limitations section below) it will be repaired or replaced at Fantasea´s discretion, free of charge, excluding shipping and handling charges.
Repairs made under this warranty will not extend the warranty period
This warranty is non-transferable and applies to the original purchaser only.
All correspondence concerning this warranty must be accompanied by a copy of the original sales receipt.
Any flood or damage, for any reason, that is caused from flooding an O-ring sealed or water tight area will not be covered under warranty. All O-ring sealed products undergo extensive factory pressure testing before being shipped and delivered and are therefore guaranteed to be sealed and functioning when shipped from the factory.
Fantasea nor ADITECH will not be liable for any loss, damages, or expenses including incidental or consequential damages directly or indirectly arising from the sale or use of the product.
Fantasea nor ADITECH accepts no liability for any loss of captured images or the inability to capture images even if it is due to the malfunctioning or leakage of the housing.
All paint finishing, cosmetic discoloration of surfaces, powder coating, or material stitching that is chipped, damaged, or unthreaded through customer use is not covered in the warranty.
Fantasea does not warranty any product for aesthetic finishes. Issues with surface finish that do not affect function of the product are not covered under warranty.
This warranty does not apply and may be rendered completely void in the event of accidental damage, abuse, overcharging of battery, flooding due to neglect, tampering, lack of care and maintenance, improper storage, or unauthorized service.
This warranty specifically excludes bulbs, lenses, cords, wet connectors, O-rings, fuses or other conditions resulting from misuse and negligence.
This warranty becomes void if the Video Housing components are damaged by anything other than normal recreational diving use.
Modifications or repair by anyone other than an authorized Fantasea Dealer or ADITECH Service Department will void the warranty.
Each product is carefully examined and checked before it is shipped. It should therefore be visually and operationally checked as soon as it is received. If it is damaged in anyway, a claim should be filed with the courier and ADITECH notified of the damage.
By purchasing this product you agree and understand that in no event will Fantasea, its distributors or retailers, be held liable for any personal injuries resulting from its operation, or any other damage whether direct, indirect, incidental or consequential, even if ADITECH is advised of such damages.

NOTE: If the equipment is not covered by warranty, or if it is determined that the fault is caused by misuse, repair will be billed to the customer, and an estimate submitted for customer approval before the commencement of repairs
