Dive down to 131' (40 m) for great beneath-the-surface photos and videos. You can also use the housing to capture images at- or above-the-surface, such as while boating, kayaking, fishing or hanging pool-side.

The Meikon MK-J5-10 Housing is ideal for outdoor and underwater photography. Underwater photographers can dive or snorkel and capture all the excitement of this fascinating world, while outdoor photographers also have the option of capturing the action of activities such as white water paddle sports, sailing, boating, surfing, fishing, hunting, backpacking and camping. The Meikon MK-J5-10 Housing is shock resistant and protects the camera from water, sand, dust, frost and other damaging elements.

  • The MK-J5-10 is offered as standard equipment with a leak detector that will immediately activate a loud buzzer and a LED located at the rear of the housing in the event water should find its way past the o-ring seals, the water detector is located next to O-ring sealing and at the lowest point (in usual operating position) of the case

OVERVIEW

This lightweight (1.87 lb / 0.85 kg) MK-J5-10 housing is specially designed for Nikon 1 J5 camera. It is compact and light-weight. The rubberized polycarbonate construction makes the case durable and resistant to corrosion. Special polycarbonate blends allow us to create an extremely strong and lightweight enclosure. Unlike aluminum, polycarbonate is fundamentally corrosion-resistant for easy maintenance year after year. 

The MK-J5-10 has an interchangeable lens port system and comes with a port specifically designed to accommodate the 10mm VR lens. The port is made of integrated flat glass with an anti-reflection coating on both sides. And it has a depth rating of 130' (40 m). Simply drop the camera in and close the housing via the snap closure. 

A moisture alarm (Light & Audio) is included in the housing as an extra feature, in order to avoid any potential damage to your housing due to wrong closing.

Controls

The MK-J5-10 enables access to all camera functions via mechanical and button controls. The shutter, zoom ring, Mode dial, Multi-selector, movie recording, playback, delete and menu buttons are all easily accessible from the housing's exterior, affording you plenty of creative freedom

Viewing

The camera's large, super-bright LCD screen is viewable through the back of the housing.
Controls are put right at your fingertips for all important camera functions.

Mounting

The housing features two 1/4"-20 tripod mounting holes.
Cold shoe mount on the top of the housing permits the attachment of optional accessories, such as a lighting arm.

Meikon provides a limited warranty to the original purchaser against all defects in original workmanship and material under normal SCUBA use and service as outlined in the owner's manual for 1 year from the date of purchase, with the following exceptions and conditions:
  • This warranty does not cover commercial or rental use.
  • Should your housing prove to be defective for any reason (other than those listed in the limitations section below) it will be repaired or replaced at Advanced Diving Technologies´ discretion, free of charge, excluding shipping and handling charges.
  • Repairs made under this warranty will not extend the warranty period
  • This warranty is non-transferable and applies to the original purchaser only.
  • All correspondence concerning this warranty must be accompanied by a copy of the original sales receipt.
  • Any flood or damage, for any reason, that is caused from flooding an O-ring sealed or water tight area will not be covered under warranty. All O-ring sealed products undergo extensive factory pressure testing before being shipped and delivered and are therefore guaranteed to be sealed and functioning when shipped from the factory.
  • Meikon/ADITECH will not be liable for any loss, damages, or expenses including incidental or consequential damages directly or indirectly arising from the sale or use of the product.
  • Meikon/ADITECH accepts no liability for any loss of captured images or the inability to capture images even if it is due to the malfunctioning or leakage of the housing.
  • All paint finishing, cosmetic discoloration of surfaces, powder coating, or material stitching that is chipped, damaged, or unthreaded through customer use is not covered in the warranty.
  • Meikon/ADITECH does not warranty any product for aesthetic finishes. Issues with surface finish that do not affect function of the product are not covered under warranty.
  • This warranty does not apply and may be rendered completely void in the event of accidental damage, abuse, overcharging of battery, flooding due to neglect, tampering, lack of care and maintenance, improper storage, or unauthorized service.
  • This warranty specifically excludes bulbs, lenses, cords, wet connectors, O-rings, fuses or other conditions resulting from misuse and negligence.
  • This warranty becomes void if the Video Housing components are damaged by anything other than normal recreational diving use.
  • Modifications or repair by anyone other than an authorized Meikon Dealer or ADITECH Service Department will void the warranty.
  • Each product is carefully examined and checked before it is shipped. It should therefore be visually and operationally checked as soon as it is received. If it is damaged in anyway, a claim should be filed with the courier and ADITECH notified of the damage.
  • By purchasing this product you agree and understand that in no event will Meikon/ADITECH, its distributors or retailers, be held liable for any personal injuries resulting from its operation, or any other damage whether direct, indirect, incidental or consequential, even if ADITECH is advised of such damages.

NOTE: If the equipment is not covered by warranty, or if it is determined that the fault is caused by misuse, repair will be billed to the customer, and an estimate submitted for customer approval before the commencement of repairs
