This aluminum snoot fits tightly to the front of the strobe and has 5 sizes of openings. Used to shape the light to smaller amounts and direct it on or near the subject, snoots are very popular, as they eliminate background lighting and backscatter behind the subject. Many creative effects can be acheived by lighting part of the subject, or using back lighting as well. However, up until now, they have been very hard to aim correctly.
The red laser pointer helps target your snoot. Instead of relying on guessing where your small snoot beam of light is pointed, a laser shows the user the exact target. Additionally, the laser is programed to shut off whenever a strobe is fired. The laser light has a push button on off switch and is powered by three small long lasting LR44 batteries. When the strobe fires a small fiber optic cord turns it off so the red aiming light does show, then the light comes back on automatically.
There are 4 opening rings that screw off, and also an opening on the base for the strobe's aiming light, to shine on the subject. A snap cord is included so that you can secure it to the strobe when not in use.
