The Mangrove Mini Focus Light MFL is a perfect low cost solution for compact digital cameras. A unique light sensor automatically turns off the light when your strobe fires to prevent a hot sport in your image. With a 6 hour burntime, you'll still have juice for a night dive. The Mangrove Mini Focus Light is an excellent choice for compact housings, or for those on a limited budget. Its eight LED bulbs are powered by four AA batteries (Please use rechargable batteries to protect our environment).
This light features an intelligent auto cut-off function that quenches the light when it detects the preflash from a camera to prevent hot spots in the exposure. It is rated to 100m/300ft. and includes a YS style mounting bracket which is compatible with the ULCS AD-SS, the ULCS AD-SSL, and the ULCS SB-SS08 mounting adapters.

Why use a focus light?
Even on a daytime dive in the tropics, cameras have a hard time focusing on the dark nooks and crannies of a reef. A focus light will speed up your camera's focus, help prevent frustration, and double as a safety light.

Mangrove Mini Focus Light vs. Higher Cost Focus Lights
Higher priced lights generally have a wider and brighter beam angle which minimizes your need to adjust the light as you move from subject to subject. A brighter light also doubles better as a primary night diving light. However, the low cost and tiny size of the MFL, make it perfect for new compact digital camera shooters.

Automatic Shut-off
The Mangrove MFL Focus Light features an innovative light sensor that automatically shuts the light off when your flash fires. This is a great feature for compact camera users that shoot in Program or Automatic exposures modes. It these auto exposure modes a tight beamed focus light might show up on the image as an ugly spot.

Optional Mangrove Hot Shoe Adapter
If your underwater housing has a "hot shoe" type mount on the top, we highly recommend the optional Mangrove Hot Shoe Adapter. It's low profile, easy to mount without tools and provides vertical and horizontal light movement.

You can also mount the Mangrove Mini Focus Light  on any standard Sea & Sea strobe arm adapter such as Ultralight. Please contact us if you camera housing does not have a "hot shoe" type plate on the top and we'll help you select the best mounting system
