Wide-Angle Conversion Lens for DX-860G (Product No.52115). This wide-angle conversion lens covers a maximum field angle equivalent to approx. 28mm (35mm film camera equivalent) when used with the DX-GE5 underwater.

The wide-angle conversion lens is for photographing a broad area. When you want to photograph a large object or a vast natural environment, or when you want to include as much of a large subject as possible in your image - that is when the wide-angle conversion lens is effective.

The angle of view increases when you use the wide-angle conversion lens compared to when you use the standard lenses, enabling you to photograph underwater scenery and large objects. Using this lens enables you to get as close as you can to medium-sized to large subjects. This allows you to capture a clear, dynamic image that covers the entire full frame without being greatly affected by how transparent the water is. The sense of perspective is also emphasized, adding to the dynamism of the photograph.

*When the lens is used out of water the camera may not focus on the subject depending on the distance to the subject. *When the lens is mounted on the camera on land, the camera may not focus on subject depending on distance to the subject. Slight vignetting (dimming) may occur in the four corners of the image. Zoom in to telephoto to eliminate vignetting. *When the wide-angle conversion lens is attached, its shadow can appear on the picture if the built-in flash is used. Using an external strobe together with the built-in flash is recommended.
