The new WP-65 Wide Angle Conversion Dome provides all of the benefits of a dome port underwater without the limitations. The conversion dome corrects for the refractive magnification of the flat port underwater to restore the camera's original angle of coverage. It increases the underwater field of view of your camcorders lens allowing to recover 105% of the FOV (field or view) of your camcorder on land. This is a semi - wide angle. You can use around half your zoom range. This lens is suited to filming subjects as large as medium sized sharks in good visibility.

The front dome element has a hard coating and is protected by a shade, it is compatible with all Mangrove and Ikelite video housing with M56 threaded port. The WP-65 port is an economical wonder for large subjects and great compositional expansion The wide angle conversion lens will definitely enhance your videos, whether the subject matter is a broad view of a general area or your aim is to get up close and personal with larger subjects. Our lens system allows for partial zoom through capability of your camera. Distortion is virtually minimal with spectacular image quality attained.

  • This is an optical system which uses air as an optical element, a pocket of air act like an optical element to performance refraction of light, the air lens only works when it is submerged into water or the fluid which have higher refractive index than air.
